Ferrari presented a new masterpiece – the 12Cilindri supercar with a V12 producing 830 hp.
The Italian company Ferrari has declassified its new supercar called 12Cilindri. It replaced the 812 Superfast and will receive a naturally aspirated V12 engine, as the car’s name hints at. Price starts from 395,000 euros
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is available in two versions: coupe and spider (convertible). The design of the model is made in a completely different style, which stands out significantly among other current supercars of the brand. For this we should thank the company's chief designer Flavio Manzoni, who was able to combine retro and futurism in the exterior of the 12Cilindri. The headlights are made in the form of parallelepipeds, and the lower part is complemented by narrow LED strips of daytime running lights. A glossy black insert is installed between them, visually unifying the front optics units. The same solution was used on the old Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona of the 70s.
The interior consists of two separated cockpits for the driver and passenger. The front panel has three screens, one of which is a 15.6-inch “dashboard”, and the other two with diagonals of 10.25 (in the center) and 8.8 (in front of the passenger) inches are a multimedia system. There is also a new multifunction steering wheel with signature long gearshift paddles, a red mode selector and many other buttons. A high-quality Burmester audio system consisting of 15 speakers with 1600 W is optionally available.
However, the most interesting thing is – These are the technical characteristics of the car. The design is based on an all-new aluminum chassis, which, together with other die-cast components, has increased body rigidity by 15% compared to the 812 Superfast. In addition, the front-engine supercar received an improved system for controlling all four wheels independently of each other. Under the hood is a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12. This is a new version of the naturally aspirated V12 engine that develops 830 hp. at 9500 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 7250 rpm. The coupe accelerates to “hundreds” in 2.9 seconds, and the spider in 2.95. For the second “hundred” – 7.9 and 8.2 s. respectively. Maximum speed – 340 km/h. Both versions are equipped with active flaps at the rear, which increase downforce at speeds from 60 to 300 km/h. The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The drive is exclusively rear-wheel drive.
