The Chinese Toyota Corolla was brought to Russia
As part of the parallel import program, some Russian dealers have an interesting new product – Toyota Levin. Surprisingly, the new product is familiar to us – in fact, this is a Toyota Corolla modified for the Chinese market
Toyota has been using the Levin name since the 90s of the last century. At that time, a coupe was produced under this name for the Japanese domestic market, and in 2014 it went to the aforementioned Corolla. How does the Chinese modification differ from the version that was recently officially sold on our market?
Firstly, in power plants – Russian “Corolla” was equipped with a non-alternative 1.6-liter engine, which was paired with a CVT. Under the hood of the Levin there is already a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with a power of 112 horsepower. Secondly, in China Levin can be a hybrid.
