Sales of the updated Toyota bZ4X start in China
The GAC-Toyota joint venture is launching sales of the Bozhi 4X electric crossover, which is an updated version of the bZ4X model. The price range in China starts from 179,800 to 238,800 yuan (2,312,000 – 3,071,000 rubles)
Like the bZ4X, the Bozhi 4X is designed on the e-TNGA platform (Toyota New Global Architecture ). The front-wheel drive version is equipped with one electric motor producing 204 hp. (150 kW) and 266 Nm of torque. The all-wheel drive received two electric motors each with a power of 109 hp. (80 kW) and 168 Nm. The maximum speed in both cases is limited to 160 km/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h for the single-engine version is 3.8 s, and for the dual-engine version – 3.4 s.
The most important update concerns the battery. Now the car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 66.7 kWh, which can be charged from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. The cruising range of the front-wheel drive crossover is 615 km, and that of the rear-wheel drive crossover is 560 km.
There are no other major changes. Dimensions of the car are 4690/1860/1650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2850 mm. The cabin is equipped with a 7-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch multimedia system screen. The basic version received 8 airbags, a second-level T-PILOT driver assistance system, support for Apple Carplay, Huawei HiCar and Baidu Carlife, as well as dual-zone climate control. The most expensive equipment is additionally equipped with a facial recognition camera, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging for a smartphone, ventilated front seats and a JBL audio system with 9 speakers.
