Toyota Century will be sold in China
Toyota is bringing its luxury Century crossover to the Chinese market. Only there it will be sold under the name Shiji, which in the future may be reborn into a separate automobile brand
The design of the car is based on the TNGA-K platform, on which the Toyota Grand Highlander and Lexus TX are also based. The car is driven by a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 3.5-liter V6 and two electric motors. The total power will be 412 hp. The battery capacity is 18.1 kWh, but the power reserve has not yet been disclosed. The drive is all-wheel drive.
Toyota Century is a fairly large crossover: length – 5205 mm, width – 1990 mm, height – 1805 mm, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The appearance of the car is very reminiscent of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. So far, a version with a 4-seater cabin has been announced for the Chinese market. In this case, the back row is made in the form of two separate seats with a wide armrest between them. Equipment includes ventilation and massage function for all seats, two screens for rear passengers, a head-up display and a wide range of safety systems.
