Chrysler announced a recall of more than 300 thousand minivans

Chrysler representatives report that the service campaign is due to a leak in the airbag control unit. This can lead to moisture ingress, which in turn can lead to a number of problems: from the inclusion of a light on the dashboard to the spontaneous deployment of airbags. However, so far no cases of accidents or injuries due to this malfunction have been recorded.

We would like to remind you that this is the second large-scale recall of the company this year. Not long ago, Chrysler ran a service promotion for the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan for a similar reason. Then the malfunction was related to the air conditioner, which could leak, and water from it would get onto the on-board computer chip, which is responsible for deploying the airbags. Dealers replaced air conditioners free of charge.

The current recall includes the same models: Chrysler Town &Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans produced in 2008. Most of these cars are located in the USA. The service campaign is scheduled for September this year.
