New Toyota Agya presented
In Indonesia and Malaysia, the second generation debuted on February 13-14 budget hatchbacks Toyota Agya and Perodua Axia.
To avoid confusion, let us clarify that Perodua is one of the largest automakers in Malaysia, with Toyota owning a 25 percent share. As for the new products themselves, in technical terms they are “twins”. Both are built on the DNGA-A platform. The units are also the same – a liter naturally aspirated engine (60 horsepower), which is paired with a CVT and an 88-horsepower 1.2-liter engine. A variator also works in tandem with the latter unit.
If we talk about design, the stamped steel parts of the body are the same for both models. However, each model has its own headlights, taillights and bumper groups. As a result, Toyota Agya looks somewhat more aggressive than its brother.
